Optimize New Growth Potential, Sepeda Bersama Indonesia is Exploring The Electric Motorbike Battery Business

    Sepeda Bersama Indonesia Co.,Inc.  (SBI), distributor of bicycle brands United Bike and Avand, as well as holder of the Genio Bike bicycle brand will expand their business. This issuer with the share code BIKE, is currently exploring the business of selling electric vehicle (EV) batteries. It is hoped that this business can become a motor for new business growth for BIKE in the future. Especially considering the high demand for two-wheeled vehicles in Indonesia, including the fast-growing trend for electric motorbikes. This was stated by the President Director of Sepeda Bersama Indonesia, Andrew Mulyadi, in a public expose held at the United Grand Hall, Tangerang, Friday, November 24 2023. BIKE wants to optimize business from the electric vehicle trend, while also supporting the improvement of the EV industry ecosystem in Indonesia. SBI will collaborate with one of the electric motorbike battery manufacturers in Indonesia, namely Asia Power Technology Co.,Inc.. SBI will act as the main buyer. This manufacturer is said to have started production of electric motorbike batteries since October 2022. Apart from that, to spur business growth, SBI will continue to strengthen the traditional bicycle, electric bicycle and electric motorbike segments. The company will also continue to develop business in the apparel, accessories and spare parts segments. BIKE is currently supported by a distribution network of 490 dealers spread across 28 provinces in Indonesia. Progressive marketing area development is one of BIKE's key strategies to strengthen performance. In this public presentation, BIKE also held a talk show entitled "Decarbonization Efforts by Accelerating the Utilization of Indonesian Electric Vehicles".
